Confused between Polyester or Nylon for Activewear?

Not necessarily. Nylon-spandex is frequently selected for its smooth handfeel, while polyester-spandex can provide excellent stretch, recovery and durability. Compare fabric samples for opacity, handfeel, stretch recovery and pilling before choosing.

Polyester absorbs less moisture into its fibres and is often preferred for quick-drying applications. However, finished-fabric drying time also depends on GSM, construction, surface characteristics and finishing. The most reliable comparison comes from testing the actual fabrics.

Both can be suitable. Nylon is commonly associated with smooth, soft-touch fitted garments, but fine-filament and specially engineered polyester fabrics can also deliver a premium handfeel. Judge the actual fabric against the product's quality requirements.
